Returning for the first time since April's split decision loss to Victor Terrazas, former champion Cristian Mijares will take on a last minute replacement in Carlos Jacobo. Mijares (47-7-2, 22 KO's) vs. Jacobo (20-5-1, 16 KO's) will be a ten round bout scheduled to take place at the featherweight limit in Chiapas, Mexico. TV Azteca will televise the fight. Mijares is hoping to face the winner of next month's fight between Terrazas and mandatory challenger Leo Santa Cruz.
