Despite having an event to promote this weekend featuring a HBO Pay-Per-View trilogy bout between Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, there is still other business to attend to if you're Bob Arum and Top Rank, such as Terence Crawford's summer assignment.
Crawford (28-0, 20KOs) was last in the ring back in January, when he knocked out Hank Lundy in five rounds at The Theater in Madison Square Garden.
"As a matter of fact, Terence is coming into the office tomorrow after the press conference and we'll be sitting down with him trying to finalize his next fight, financially and so forth," Arum told BoxingScene.com.
When asked if the defending WBO super lightweight titlist would face WBC beltholder Viktor Postol, Arum answered - "We've talked to the Postol people. That's the fight I want to make, whether it happens or not, we'll see in the next couple of days."
Postol was last in the in back in October, when he pulled off an upset knockout of Lucas Matthysse to capture the vacant WBC crown.
The proposed date for Crawford-Postol is July 23rd and according to Arum it could be taking place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
