BoxingScene.com has been advised by a reliable source that Craig McEwan (18-0) is the frontrunner to replace Sergio Mora as the main event fighter on Telefutura's July 23rd broadcast. There is a short list of opponents being considered for the Freddie Roach trained Scotsman.

Sergio Mora was originally scheduled to face JC Candelo in the main event at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. Mora pulled out of the Telefutura televised fight when he secured an HBO pay per view fight versus Shane Mosley on September 18th.
