Unbeaten middleweight prospect Craig McEwan (19-0, 10KOs) is going to fight on Amir Khan's undercard on April 16 at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Khan is rumored to be defending his WBA junior welterweight title against Lamont Peterson. McEwan works with Khan's trainer, Freddie Roach. The two boxers are promoted by Golden Boy Promotions. The up and coming fighters is pleased to finally receive a showcase fight in the UK. Before the April date, McEwan will take a fight in Mexico on January 28.
"I think it's about time," said McEwan to STV. "I have a lot of interest back home which I never knew I would have having not fought there. I'm looking forward to it. I think it is a must for me to fight more in the UK for me to get a title, so yeah it's going to be a good night. I hope to fight a name fighter over there too so we will see."
