While Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30KOs) was training at the LA Fitness gym in Orlando, Florida - a thief was planning his next move. Orlando police are investigating an incident, where someone broke the window to a Team Cotto truck that was parked outside of the gym, and swiped the wallet of Bryan Perez, executive director for Miguel Cotto Promotions. Cotto is training for his May 5th defense of the WBA junior middleweight title - against Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 27KOs).
"Nothing serious was taken. Someone broke the glass of the car and took a wallet ... in fact, it was my wallet," Perez told Alex Figueroa. "Since [the incident took place], the police took over and [the incident] is being investigated. The important thing is that nothing serious [was taken] and nothing is going to blur the objective that Cotto will win this fight."
