BoxingScene.com spoke with Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum to get an update on the ongoing negotiations to finalize a deal for Miguel Cotto vs. Yuri Foreman to take place in New York's Yankee Stadium. Arum, Top Rank president Todd duBoef and vice president Carl Moretti, met with the Yankees organization last Tuesday and Wednesday. The talks were positive. Arum is still confident a deal will be reached, and hopes to get something concrete in the next couple of days.

"Right now they are redoing the [seating] configurations and the ticket prices. We'll have a proposal on Monday," Arum told BoxingScene.com.

Arum wants to put on a very strong undercard in what's going to be the first boxing event in Yankee Stadium since 1976 when Muhammad Ali won a decision over Ken Norton.

Some of the fights being discussed include Anthony Peterson vs. the winner of David Diaz/Humberto Soto [taking place on March 13], Fernando Montiel vs. Eric Morel, Vanes Martirosyan vs. Pawel Wolak, and a possible fight involving Winky Wright if a promotional deal is finalized with Top Rank.
