Miguel Cotto, the WBA champion at junior middleweight, is very interested in possibly moving up in weight to challenge for a fourth title in October - provided Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. defeats Sebastian Zbik for the WBC middleweight crown on June 4 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Sources indicate the battle could involve a catch-weight of 155-pounds. The weight is interesting, when considering that Chavez has struggled in the past to make 160-pounds, but the Mexican boxer's trainer, Freddie Roach, believes his boxer is still capable of making the junior middleweight limit.

Cotto, 36-2 with 29 knockouts, was active in March with a twelfth round stoppage of Ricardo Mayorga. For the moment, Cotto is very active in Puerto Rico with his promotional company, Miguel Cotto Promotions, who put together a show on Friday in Ponce.
