Freddie Roach, trainer of Manny Pacquiao, sees WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto as a very tough fight for Manny. The fight is being proposed for November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Roach says Cotto is a very hard opponent to beat because of his power, youth and size. He says Pacquiao has to fight without making any mistakes.

“Cotto's very strong, we have to fight a very intelligent fight,” said Roach to dzSR’s Sports Chat with Dennis Principe. “The thing is, he's big and strong and he's young. I think it’s a hard fight for us, Cotto is a strong puncher. It's a tough fight, but the way Manny is fighting right now, it's a very winnable fight for us."

As far as Shane Mosley making complaints that Pacquiao is avoiding his challenge, Roach says Cotto is the better fighter. Roach feels Mosley is overrated.

“You had the Mosley-Cotto [fight], [so] who's the better fighter? You gotta say it’s Cotto because when they fought, Cotto won,” said Roach. “So, style-wise Shane is probably a little faster than Cotto. [But] I think Mosley is just way overrated."
