If a deal gets finalized, former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31KOs) would face WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs) in the main event of an HBO Pay-Per-View on June 7th in New York's Madison Square Garden, according to Carlos Narvaez. Sources close to the situation have told Narvaez that Cotto prefers the New York venue to stage that fight.

Cotto has two deals on the table, which includes a $10 million dollar offer to face Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs) on March 8th in a headline bout of a Showtime Pay-Per-View.

The March date for Canelo is around the corner and Cotto's adviser, Gaby Peñagarícano, said the boxer will not rush his decision. It could force Canelo, who has three pay-per-view dates in 2014, to pursue another possible option - and IBF junior middleweight champion Carlos Molina has been mentioned by Canelo's management.
