In the next few days, former two division champion Miguel Cotto will depart Puerto Rico and travel to New York City. He plans to sit ringside on January 23 in Madison Square Garden to support countryman Juan Manuel Lopez as he challenges Steven Luevano for the WBO featherweight title in the main event. He will also sit down with Top Rank to go over the plans for his next fight, scheduled for June 12 at Madison Square Garden.

"They expressed interest in coming to support 'Juanma', and Bob (Arum, Top Rank CEO) invited them," Ricardo Jimenez of Top Rank told El Nuevo Dia . "We have confirmed his attendance.

As previously reported, Cotto's likely opponent is WBA junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman. Jimenez told the paper that Arum has been tied up and hasn't had a chance to speak with Cotto to finalize any of the details for that fight. They are expected to discuss and possibly finalize that fight next week.

"Right now Bob is focused on Clottey fighting Pacquiao and the fight with 'Juanma', and in launching the new boxing series on Fox Sports," Jimenez said. "I do not think he's had time to talk about that fight."
