WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto is giving Manny Pacquiao a good shot to upset Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather and Pacquiao will collide for the WBO/WBA/WBC welterweight titles on pay-per-view.

Cotto was stopped by Pacquiao in the twelfth round in their 2009 clash at a catch-weight of 145-pounds. In 2012, Cotto lost a competitive twelve round unanimous decision to Mayweather at 154-pounds.

Present day, Cotto and Pacquiao are stablemates and share the same trainer in Freddie Roach of the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California.

"I think his explosiveness and his quickness is going to be big issues for Floyd on May 2nd. Floyd is a smart boxer. I think he is going to put Pacquiao at his distance and [try to] contain Pacquiao. I think being with Freddie Roach for my last two fights, I think Freddie is going to have Manny ready for Floyd. I think Manny has a big chance [to win]," Cotto told Sports Nation.
