The word coming out of Johannesburg, South Africa, is that former WBO heavyweight champion Corrie Sanders will now face Kevin Montiy (16-3, 12KOs) of the United States on May 12 at the Emperors Palace.

Chris Koval (26-3, 18KOs), thought by most to be a tough opponent for the second bout in Sanders' return, withdrew from the fight. Golden Gloves Promotion said that Koval withdrew because of a lack of clearance from United States laws.
