According to SAPA, former WBO/WBU heavyweight champion Corrie Sanders (42-3, 31KOs) will take on South African heavyweight champion Osborne Machimana (14-5-1, 10KOs) at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, South Africa, on February 2.

The fight was announced by promoter Rodney Berman in Johannesburg. IBO featherweight champion Thomas Mashaba will be featured on the undercard. Sanders, 41, continues his comeback. He last fought in May, winning a lopsided ten-round unanimous decision over Colin Wilson. He injured his left hand in the fight, stalling his plans of fighting several times in 2007. Machimana was knocked out in 2006 by Australian Shane Cameron, and has won two bouts since then - both by knockout.

Sanders' goal is to eventually land rematches with Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko.
