You should never throw rocks in a glass house. After Jose Luis Castillo was unable to make weight for his trilogy battle with Diego Corrales a few short months ago, he was verbally assaulted by Corrales for being unable to make the weight limit and ruining their event.
At the scheduled weigh-in for Saturday night's trilogy bout with Joel Casamayor, Corrales weighed in at a whopping 140 on the first try, 139.5 pounds on the second try and 139 after being stripped and weighing in again on the third try.
A deal has been worked out between both camps and the fight will go on as scheduled at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Corrales loses his WBC lightweight title on the scales for being unable to make weight, Casamayor who weighed the lightweight limit of 135 pounds, wins the title if he beats Corrales. Corrales will be find $200,000 by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
There will be second weigh-in prior to the fight, neither fighter can weigh over 147 pounds.
