Conor Benn has had his next foe confirmed.
The 22-year-old welterweight has been out of action since last July.
Benn, who won a unanimous decision over Cedrick Peynaud in a rematch at the O2 Arena in London, had been set to defend his WBA Continental title on Saturday at the same venue.
But ‘The Destroyer’ will now face Josef Zahradnik over eight rounds on the card, exclusively live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN Stateside, after the title setback.
Zahradnik has a ledger of 10-2 with five early and the Czech was last in action last December when he lost to Zino Meuli for the vacant World Boxing Federation welterweight title.
The card is headlined by Dave Allen in a heavyweight showdown against Lucas Browne and Dereck Chisora’s fight against Senad Gashi, which is his first under the tutelage of Dave Coldwell, and features the second fight of Watford bantamweight Shannon Courtenay.
Joe Cordina defends his Commonwealth lightweight title against Andy Townend in a clash that doubles up for the vacant British title and Josh Kelly will look to retain his WBA International welterweight title against Przemyslaw Runowski ahead of a showcase outing on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s June 1 WBA Super, IBO, IBF and WBO world heavyweight title defence against Jarrell Miller at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Nikita Ababiy, Sam Cox and Sam Hyde are also on the card.
