The better conditioned fighter will win in the Grand Finale rubber match between Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao and legendary Mexican Erik "El Terrible" Morales at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on November 18.
Michael Konz who manages flyweight contender Diosdado Gabi and has helped Pacquiao’s younger brother Bobby Pacquiao land some big fights in the US said "its not going to be technique or style. Its going to be whose got the best conditioning who is going to win. "
The California based Koncz said he believes the third encounter between Pacquiao and Morales "will be the best and the hardest" of their epic battles.
Koncz said while it is true that Morales "looked heavy" at the recent press conference in Las Vegas he didn’t look fat or flabby. He said he was confident Morales will make the 130 pound limit for the fight since he has been in Los Angeles for the past month "working on his conditioning . They have been concentrating on his weight and his conditioning " at the Velocity Sports Performance Gym in Los Angeles.
Koncz said Morales was not merely working on his weight but also on "a lot of cardiovascular stuff" which is related to conditioning.
In a brief telephone conversation with The Standard yesterday afternoon, Pacquiao said he would be in Manila today for the opening of his Knockout Bar & Grill along the Baywalk in Manila.
