WBO featherweight title challenger Bernabe Concepcion (28-4-1, 15 KO’s) who suffered a crushing 2nd round knockout at the hands of Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez ( 29-0, 26 KO’s) despite dropping the champion late in round one, and super bantamweight Eden Sonsona (21-6, 7 KO’s),  who was knocked out in the 9th round  by Jonathan Oquendo (19-2, 12 KO’s) in a ten round clash for the vacant WBO North American Boxing Organization title, will return to the ring this September.

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz who handles the fights abroad for Pacquiao’s MP Promotions told us that Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said “we are going to get them another fight in September and we are finding a place to put them.”

Koncz also told us that Richie Mepranum (22-2-1, 5 KO’s)  who was dropped three times en route to a 5th round TKO at the hands of hard-hitting Mexican Julio Cesar  “Pingo” Miranda (31-5-1, 25 KO’s) in a battle for the vacant WBO flyweight title last June 12 is  likely to fight again in August.

Koncz said he wants the fight to be in Mexico because “if he gets another win, then we can go back after the champion whom he fought last time and lost.”
