Guillermo Rigondeaux outlanded Nonito Donaire in 11 of 12 rounds in their super bantamweight unification and also landed the harder punches all fight. Surprisingly, Rigo was the busier fighter as well.

Its also a mystery to me, how could anyone get the scores that close. Donaire struggled to land anything all fight.
Incompetent judges that favors aggressive fighters, that's why.

I give Rigondeaux a lot of credit for his victory over Donaire. I was one of the guys that said Donaire was going to win this one by a close decision with a knock down. Man was I wrong. Rigondeaux did his thing that night followed his game plan and hurt Donaire in the 12th round with a straight left cross. Donaire started to paw his nose and his right eye with his glove and started to back paddle most of the 12 round. After he got hit with that left cross. What a fight I'll already watch this fight 3 times I had it for Rigondeaux 116 to 110 what a fight.

Yeah those stats are pretty much bullcrap, it says Rigo threw 396 punches lool. I don't who would believe that. I mean let's be real he threw about 6 punches per round.

Is that how people are explaining a 114-113 score? The only one close was the 116-111. Ridiculous.
Had Andre Ward fought this one, he would have been awarded a 118-110 decision on all score cards.
Unfortunately, Rigondeaux showed he's not proficient in the "old school inside boxing" -- but southpaws seldom are.
