Katie Taylor moved to 3-0 in her rivalry against Amanda Serrano, defeating her by majority decision on Friday evening at Madison Square Garden.

In their first fight, Serrano averaged 63 punches thrown and 17 punches landed per round, while Taylor averaged 38 and 15, respectively. They upped the ante in the rematch, in which Serrano averaged 73 and 32 per round, while Taylor averaged 53 and 22.

Their third fight saw a huge dropoff in activity, as Serrano averaged 38 punches thrown and seven connects per round, while Taylor averaged 23 and seven. Even though Serrano threw 151 more punches than Taylor, they both landed 70 punches. Taylor connected on 30 percent of her total punches and 42 percent of her power punches, while Serrano connected on 18 percent of her total punches and 30 percent of her power punches.

One judge scored the fight 95-95, while the other two judges scored it 97-93 – both for Taylor.
