Buenos Aires' star Martin Antonio Coggi (25-4-2, 13KOs), will get his chance to take part in a title match for the WBC Intercontinental junior welterweight title, on July 10 in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. In what will be the fifth defense of his title, Cuban-Italian Brunet Zamora (20-0, 9KOs), granted a shot to the son of former triple world champion Coggi Sr.

It deserves mention that Coggi started the year with good and varied activity, fighting with experienced fighters who fought well and forced him to use his full repertoire. Meanwhile, Zamora, agreed to the match, but then went idle. Zamora has been inactive since a draw with unbeaten Denis Shafikov in a bout which took place in Russia in October 2010.
