WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly is busier. They landed similar amounts of punches, but Sergey Kovalev hits harder and is the better combination puncher. Both landed well above weight class average for power.

Actually the punch stats are misleading. Due to Kovalevs propensity to get the early KOs, approximately 1 in 3 of his 'rounds' as counted by compubox is actually about half a round. To get his true figures you need to add about a sixth (approx 17%) to the stats shown, meaning he significantly outlands Clev and throws a little more sheer volume.

Then Kovalev connects better on total punches... While Clev connects better his power punches -- unfortunately Clev's power punches don't match Kovalev's...
