Claudio Marrero Will Return on Guzman vs Pabon Card

Undefeated Dominican featherweight Claudio “The Matrix” Marrero (10-0, 9 KO's) will return to the ring on March 2, with his opponent to be determined at a later date. The card, staged by Acquinity Sports in Hollywood, Florida, will feature Joan Guzman vs. Jesus Pabon in the main event.

In his last fight, on January 7th, Marrero stopped Francis Ruiz in the second round to retain his WBC FECARBOX title.

Last week, we visited Germán Caicedo’s GYM in South Florida - where Marrero is training for this scheduled eight rounder.

“We are training with great intensity. We don't even have an opponent yet but that doesn't worry me. We are preparing ourselves to beat anyone," Marrero said.

His trainer Germán Caicedo’s said - “Marrero trains with the goal of gaining postion and to secure better placement in the rankings. This young man is focused and his discipline in every session shows his hungry for victories and to capture a world title in the future.”

Henry Rivalta of Acquinity Sports  said - “Claudio's talent is amazing. We are handling his career step by step. We realize that at this weight we have good fighters such as Orlando Salido, Juanma Lopez and perhaps Nonito Donaire may arrive to this division in the near future. We have a boxer that at some point in the future might face any of the champions and he has the potential to defeat any of them”
