SuperiorBook.com, one of the internet's top sportsbooks, has posted two unique propositions surrounding Saturday's HBO fight card.

First is a weigh-in prop, as Jose Luis Castillo will be tipping the scales for his fight against Herman Ngoudjo:

WILL JOSE LUIS CASTILLO MAKE THE 140-POUND LIMIT FOR HIS NABF TITLE FIGHT WITH HERMAN NGOUDJO?
Yes  -120 (lay 6/5 Yes)
No  +100 (even money)

This prop applies to the first official weigh-in attempt only.

(Note: Weigh-in will take place at 5:30 PM Eastern time on Friday, January 19)

Oddsmaker Charles Jay, who supplied the proposition to SuperiorBook.com, says, "I think Castillo has learned his lesson, and the 140 limit should be easier for him. However, the price here is short because for guys who have problems making weight, it sometimes has less to do with the weight itself and more to do with training habits and procedures."

A special "pointspread" prop has also been posted at SuperiorBook, which involves the fight between Ricky Hatton and Juan Urango for the IBF 140-lb. title, Saturday night in Las Vegas:

POINTSPREAD - HATTON VS. URANGO
Hatton  -13.5 pts.  (-110)
Urango  +13.5 pts.  (-110)
(In other words, you will lay 11/10 either way)

The "pointspread" is derived by adding up the scorecards of all three judges in the fight and calculating the total difference. For example, if two judges have the fight scored 117-111 and the third has it 115-113, then the total spread is 6 pts.+6 pts.+2 pts. = 14 points.

This proposition only applies if the fight goes the full 12-round distance. If the fight ends inside the distance, the proposition is abandoned and all money is returned.

Jay says, "To my knowledge this is the first time a sportsbook has posted odds on the pointspread in a fight. I have been tinkering around with this for about 17 years, and I think it's an interesting proposition. Maybe it'll catch on and we'll do more of it."

Both propositions are also part of "The Charles Jay Line" which is wagered upon, fantasy-style, through the vBookie apparatus in the Boxing Scene forums. To access it, simply visit the appropriate section, at  https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=9
