Christian Mbilli and Maciej Sulecki cleared the final hurdle to their WBC interim super middleweight title fight, making weight on Thursday afternoon in Quebec City.

Both Mbilli, 28-0 (23 KOs), and Sulecki, 33-3 (13 KOs), came in at 167.7lbs for their 12-round fight at Centre Videotron, a venue where the France-raised Mbilli has become popular since signing with Quebec’s Eye of the Tiger Management.

Sulecki, six years older at 36, of Warsaw, Poland, knows about fighting on enemy turf, as he is fighting for the first time since his 10th-round stoppage win over Ali Akhmedov in Kazakhstan.

In the co-feature, Steven Butler (167.6lbs) and Jose De Jesus Macias (167.8lbs) both made the weight, while Arslanbek Makhmudov (265.8lbs) will begin his comeback after stoppage losses in two of his last three bouts against the unbeaten Ricardo Brown, who was 261.4lbs. Both of these fights are 10-rounders.
