Who is Chris Kongo? Can you introduce yourself? Can you tell us about your past and how you started boxing?
Chris Kongo (3-0, 2 KOs) is a professional boxer who's been boxing since the age of 8 (now 24) and continuing the journey to become one of the finest boxers to come out and Great Britain. I started boxing because my two brothers were fighting at the time and I've loved it every since, I looked up to them as inspirations and they've paved the way for me to be where I am right now.
I heard that you are a Millwall fan. Are you fan of football? Did you know of good relations between Turkish side Galatasaray and Millwall supporters?
I'm not the biggest fan of football but I support my local team which is Millwall. I've done research on team and funny enough I've heard of Giant Galatasaray. Now it's been mentioned I'm sure to look out for and watch them.
What does Chris Kongo do apart from boxing?
I usually like meeting up with mates going out here and there but most times Whole 9 management organise motivational talks with schools and colleges for me to inspire the youth so you can say in my spare time apart from boxing I am working.
How do you see your future in welterweight division? What’s your near future goals and your ultimate target in boxing?
Well first my aim will be to become number one in Great Britain once I've done that I'll definitely be moving up to European and world titles and of course my dream is to win world titles in different weight classes and unify titles.
You are in such a tough division. There are champions who are already legends like Pacquiao, and top names like Thurman, Danny Garcia and Kell Brook. Do you dream that your name is one day ranked among them?
Of course 100% and it will be especially if I keep dedicating myself I know my name will be amongst those sooner than what people think.
Who’s your favourite boxer currently and all time?
My favourite boxer currently is Andre ward and my all time favourite is Sugar Ray Leonard.
You use "2slick" as nickname what does it mean and why do you use this nickname?
"2slick" is basically a term to say that the skills I bring to the ring are very impressive and smooth. Previously in my amateur career people have called my slick on a number of occasions and since then I've thought to just keep the nickname.
