On October 24 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, WBA featherweight champ Chris John (41-0-1, 22 KOs) will defend his title against former OPBF champion Hiroyuki Enoki (27-0-2, 19 KOs).
Enoki’s Kadoebi Hoseki boxing gym announced the fight on Friday. Enoki vacated the OPBF title in order to make the fight with John. His record is a bit deceiving and presents the appearance of a serious punching threat, Enoki has never left the comforts of Japan and John is a serious step up in class when compared to every other opponent of his resume. Regardless, he vowed to knock John out no matter what.
‘‘I will knock him out no matter what. I’m going to the ring with a belief that I can win,’’ Enoki said.
