A super-fight between Indonesian stars Chris John and Daud Yordan is within reach. Yordan has received an offer to face IBO featherweight champion Jackson Asiku in April. If he is able to get past him, he could then meet WBA champion John in a unification fight in the fall, in what would be a huge event in Indonesia. Golden Boy Promotions promised Yordan a shot at next Saturday's winner between Juanma and Luevano. I wouldn't count on that with the current relationship between Golden Boy and Top Rank [promoters for Juanma and Luevano].

"Chris's manager, Craig Christian, called me to offer the bout against Asiku. If I win, then he will set a unification bout with Chris John. The bout may take place in April," Daud told the Jakarta Post. "I already have my own program, though. Golden Boy Promotions promised a title bout with the winner between WBO champion Steven Luevano and challenger Juan Manuel Lopez."

Daud was scheduled to fight Mexico’s Daniel Ponce De Leon on the Berto-Mosley card. The fight was taken off due to financial reasons on the promotional end. Ponce De Leon's management believe the fight will be pushed back to another Golden Boy card.

Yordan is not intimidated by Asiku.

"I saw him fight a few times, and I think he's so-so. If I have a chance to fight him, it won't take much time to beat him," Yordan said.
