On the undercard to Paul Williams-Verno Phillips at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California, Chris Arreola (26-0, 23 KOs) got off the floor in the second round to drop Travis Walker (28-2, 22 KOs) three times before the ref stopped the fight in the third.

Walker came out throwing bombs and began taking the fight to Arreola. Walker used his quick hands to catch Arreola and push him into the ropes for most of the first round. Some crisp combinations by Walker made Arreola rock and roll around the ring and hold on to get out of trouble. Arreola was able to land a few counters, but not enough to keep off Walker, who also went to Arreola's body.

In the second, a combination followed by a straight right sent Arreola down to one knee in the opening minute. Walker took his time and kept trying to go after his man, but Arreola started to throw vicious combinations to send Walker down hard and a few seconds later another exchange of hard punches sent Walker down for the second time. Walker made it up and barely got out of the round.

At the start of the third, Arreola landed a perfect left hook that sent Walker down flat and the ref jumped in to stop the fight.
