WBC flyweight champion Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez and WBC super flyweight champion Carlos 'Principe' Cuadras are both ready to fight, as their teams continue to negotiate the terms for a September showdown in Los Angeles, California.

Chocolatito, who many regard as the best pound for pound fighter of today, is only waiting for the green light. Cuadras is already training for the fight with Rudy Hernandez in Los Angeles. Negotiations are going well, and the signatures now depend on the financial terms being reached with HBO, as both champions are looking for big bucks to do the fight.

Cuadras doesn't care where or when, as long as the terms are right.

“We are ready, so wherever and whenever we will indeed fight him. We are obviously not afraid, and this is a fight that fans really want to see,” declared Cuadras.

Gonzalez, like Cuadras, is waiting for their sides to reach an agreement on the terms. He is very motivated to chase his fourth divisional title - and in winning the belt he would become the first fighter to achieve that accomplishment in Nicaragua.

Both boxers are handled by promoter Mr. Honda of Japan-based Teiken Promotions. It all comes down to Honda reaching a financial understanding with the management of each fighter and then with HBO.

"Cuadras is a good fighter and it would be a great fight. It is only matter of our representatives reaching an agreement, as we both want the fight,” Chocolatito said.

Cuadras has a professional record of 35-0-1 with 27 KO's, while Gonzalez also sports an impressive record of  45-0 with 38 KO''s.
