The World Boxing Association's "super champion" at bantamweight, Panamanian Anselmo 'Chemito' Moreno (33-2-1, 12KOs) is looking for new opportunities after parting ways with Golden Boy Promotions, according to the boxer's wife and spokeswoman Rouss Laguna.

The two sides mutually agreed to go their separate ways. In 2011, Moreno signed a promotional contract for two years and four fights with Golden Boy. The four fight deal was reportedly worth $1.2 million. Under Golden Boy's banner, Moreno fought Vic Darchinyan, David de la Mora and Abner Mares.

Laguna said she was pushing for her husband to break free from his contract. Now she says her husband is looking for a big run at bantamweight and wants the biggest available fights. She says several promoters are interested in signing her fighter, including Top Rank.

"I myself wanted to terminate the contract between Chemito and Golden Boy Promotions, because he was having little activity in recent months and I want Anselmo fighting all the time," said Rouss.

"We thank you Golden Boy for trusting in Chemito and giving him the opportunity to fight in the United States. Right now many companies want to promote Moreno, and among them is Top Rank's Bob Arum."
