Panama - Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (31-0, 11KOs) wants to have one more fight before pursuing a unification with WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire. On Friday at the Arena Robert Duran, Moreno retained his "super champion" version of the WBA crown, by stopping Venezuelan Lorenzo "Lencho" Parra in eight rounds.
Moreno looked sharp after months of inactivity but wants to have at least one more fight before a showdown with Donaire. He was scheduled to face Donaire in May, but the Filipino boxer became involved in a legal situation with his promoter Top Rank. Donaire has been inactive since February.
"In this victory over Parra. everything happened as we thought it would. I want one more fight, and by 2012 we are going after Nonito Donaire," Moreno said.
