As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will return on December 3rd in the city of Monterrey, Mexico

According to his legendary father, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., his older son Julio Jr. and younger son Omar Chavez will both be in action on the card. Reports out of Mexico are naming Germany's Dominik Britsch as the opponent of choice for Chavez Jr.

Chavez has reunited with Zanfer Promotions for his next fight, and his upcoming fight will be televised by TV Azteca after his last two outings were broadcast on rival network Televisa.

With the recent news of Chavez Jr. reuniting with Zanfer, and jumping back to Azteca, there is talk within the industry that Chavez is breaking away from manager/adviser Al Haymon.

Chavez cut his ties with longtime promoter Top Rank in 2014 and hired Haymon to represent him. A lawsuit quickly erupted, but both sides settled in early 2015.

The rumors of their separation are only rumors, according to Chavez Sr.

"Julio is still continuing with Haymon, that relationship continues and [Haymon] continues to be his promoter. The fight [in Mexico] is to keep active, but Julio will return next year and it's going to be a fight in the United States, under Haymon," said Chavez Sr.

Chavez Jr. has been inactive since last July when he won a ten round decision over Marcos Reyes. Several injuries have kept him out of the ring and he's very eager to return. The comeback fight will take place a few pounds above 168, as there is a well-established plan of work to get down to the super middleweight limit before seeing if it's possible to get down even lower.
