As part of a homage event, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. will be part of a three round exhibition bout, against Sonora Sports director, Vicente Sagrestano, on December 18th at the Hermosillo Multiple Uses Center.
The event is a homage to the greatest Mexican Champion, who also will offer a motivational speech to the youth of Sonora at the Expo Forum at high noon.
Chavez will also lay the first stone the Olympic Boxing Pavilion which will ne named after him.
The card is presented as "¡Hay Tiro!", a quote of the champion, and it is planned especially for the people who can attend this special event. There will also, be a toy a ticket, to be presented to for kids in need at Christmas time.
Sagrestano says Chavez is in great shape to get into the ring again.
"Julio will back in the ring after 9 years of his retirement. Lots of us lived his great successes , but we could not see him live. But now we are going to see him beside of our kids,” commented the Sports Director in Sonora.
