Reports are flying in from Mexico that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr (41-0-1, 30KOs) has tested positive for a banned substance called Furosemide [a diuretic, which is any drug that elevates the rate of urination and thus provides a means of forced diuresis.] The positive test result stems from his recent decision win over Troy Rowland on the Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto undercard on November 14.

A spokesperson for the Nevada State Athletic Commission told multiple Mexican news outlets that Chavez's win over Rowland may be changed to a no-contest and the fight stands to get hit with a suspension and a hefty fine. Chavez has 20 days to respond to NSAC's complaint.
