BoxingScene.com has been advised by sources within Top Rank, that as of this moment Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Pawel Wolak is still moving forward on November 27 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Multiple sources have advised BoxingScene that Chavez Jr. is legitimately battling flu-like symptoms. From what I was told, by more than one source, the agreed-upon catch-weight will be raised from 157 to 165-pounds. The new weight is likely a reaction to Chavez missing several days of training due to illness.
UPDATE: Apparently, from what I was just told, there was never an agreed-upon catch-weight of 157. Wolak replaced an injured Alfonso Gomez, who was fighting Chavez at 157. When Wolak stepped in, the weight was raised to 160-pounds for Chavez's WBC silver middleweight title. Because the weight has been raised to 165, the silver title will not be at stake.
