Former WBC middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-2-1, 32KOs) is very pleased with the training camp for his scheduled return against Marco "Dorado" Reyes (33-2, 24KOs), which takes place on July 18 in the city of El Paso, Texas. The fight will take place at the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds. Reyes is being prepared by legendary Hall of Fame trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain

Chavez Jr. is hoping to get his career back in order. He returns from an April ninth round TKO defeat at the hands of talented 175-pound contender Andrzej Fonfara. That fight took place at light heavyweight.

Chavez left his most recent coach Joe Goossen and is now training in Oxnard, California with Robert Garcia.

"I started training [with Garcia]. We've have hard sessions, but we are happy with this start. I think we do have very good chemistry. The key here will be hard work. Robert is a good coach and I came ready to improve on what is needed to return to the limelight," said Chavez Jr. to ESPN Deportes.
