Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. wants to be tested and that's why he asked Top Rank to secure Martin Murray for August 3 at new Arena in Mexico City. Chávez (46-1-1, 32 KOs) views Murray (25-1-1, 11 KOs) as the perfect opponent, especially after his near upset performance over World Boxing Council middleweight king Sergio Martinez on April 27th in Argentina. HBO would televise the fight.

"Everything is on track for [my opponent] to be Murray, it all depends on him to accept. I know it's a tough fight, but I want it and I think the people also want it. I'm ready," Chavez said.
