Middleweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (42-0-1, 30KOs) is counting on the jab, and aggressive fighting to make a big difference on Saturday at Staples Center in Los Angeles when he challenges WBC champion Sebastian Zbik. On his final day of sparring at the Wild Card Gym, Chavez was practicing how to be effective with his jab and he was also working on techniques to take away his opponent's jab. Chavez is being trained by Freddie Roach, the coach of Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan and Vanes Martirosyan.

"We worked hard on being more aggressive, to throw combinations, body shots, but always taking away my opponent's jab and throwing [my own] hard to counter. This will be the key. Now we have to make the weight, which is the ultimate sacrifice, but it certainly has been the best training camp of my career. I've never felt like this before, I will win. I prepared for a tough fight. I know Zbik is a tricky fighter, and this is the most important week of my career. There is some pressure and nervousness, but with the work that I've done in the gym so far, there is confidence that things will go well on Saturday," Chavez told Sal Rodriguez.
