Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is focused on capturing a world title in the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds. He returned on Saturday night in El Paso, Texas - where he won a ten round unanimous decision over Marcos Reyes at the Don Haskins Center.

Chavez was returned from an April TKO defeat at the hands of light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara.

For Chavez (49-2-1, 32 KOs), the fight with Reyes was his third fight in the last four, where he weighed in as a light heavyweight.

For the fight with Brian Vera in last 2013, Chavez weighed 172.5-pounds for a fight originally set for 164. The weight limit was pushed up, several times, with Chavez still being unable to make the limit. He came in at 167.5 for the March 2014 rematch. He then came back against Fonfara in April, at 172-pounds (weighed in at 171.5).

The fight with Reyes was set for 168, then a max of 169 and then pushed up to 170, but Chavez still came in at 170.8-pounds and reportedly had to pay Reyes $30,000.

He wants to be a super middleweight, but admits his future may see him at light heavyweight if he's unable to make 168 in the near future.

"I'm unable to do it [get down in weight], then we'll think about 175. But I think I can still get down to 168 and at this weight I think I can do a lot and become a world champion," Chavez Jr. said.
