Former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. feels WBA/WBC 154-pound champ Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) is ready to face the best fighters in the world - including Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Miguel Cotto. In the opinion of Chavez, he would rather see Canelo face Cotto (37-3, 30KOs) on a target date of September 14th, and he picks his fellow Mexican to win by knockout.

"Mayweather is difficult, but Canelo is bigger, has a good defense and younger. But for me, I would rather him fight with Cotto because it would be a more exciting fight. Some believe Cotto was not at his best against [Austin] Trout, but I believe Canelo has the potential to knock him out and it would be a very good fight," Chavez told Golpe a Golpe.
