Jermell Charlo has further chimed in on what it will take to have a tantalizing tilt against Terence Crawford.

Charlo is currently preparing to jump up two weight classes to challenge Canelo Alvarez for the undisputed super middleweight title on Sept. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena on Showtime pay-per-view.

In the midst of preparing for Alvarez (59-2-2, 39 KOs), Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) is also fielding questions about possible fight plans in 2024 against the undisputed welterweight champion Crawford.

“I do everything I can for the fans to make sure that the fight [against Crawford] happens,” Charlo told BoxingScene.com and other reporters. “If Crawford comes up to my weight division or comes to wherever I'm at and meets halfway and has a good negotiation, because I don't have time to be playing them games that he did with Errol [Spence Jr.] and taking forever. I ain't here for that. I want to fight and keep fighting. Get in, and present more fights for you guys. I'm holding it down for the Charlos. I'm going to keep it going.”

Crawford and Spence survived failed discussions and prolonged negotiations periods and made the July fight happen largely due to the concessions made by Spence.

Charlo and Crawford had choice words for each other during fight night of “Bud’s” ninth-round beatdown of Spence. Charlo recently commended Crawford for the one-sided win against his stablemate while also warning the Nebraska native for trying to bite off more than he can chew

“I'm undisputed. I'm fighting another undisputed champion [in Alvarez]. I'm happy about that. My life is good. I'm prevailing,” said Charlo. “I'm finally getting the fight that I deserve and a fight that will be a pinnacle where people can't stop talking about me.”
