Charles Conwell is currently putting the finishing touches on his training camp for his October 7th showdown against Wendy Toussaint (12-0) that is scheduled for 10 rounds.  The fight will top a ShoBox quadruple header that takes place at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The co-feature bout matches Conwell's half brother Isaiah Steen (14-0) against Kalvin Henderson (12-0) in a super middleweight battle. The Showtime telecast will open up with two 8 round welterweight contests.  Janelson Bocachica (15-0) squares off against Nicklaus Flaz (9-1) while Brandun Lee (19-0) faces Jimmy Williams (16-3-2).

"Training camp is going good. I am feeling good, feeling strong and ready to put in work and get the 'W'," said Conwell. "To be honest, it has been a crazy year with all the police brutality, rioting and COVID-19. This year really has been crazy and I am just trying to end it with a bang."

The 22-year-old Conwell had previously told BoxingScene.com that he was looking to make
his mark on the super welterweight division this year but the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed those plans back a bit. He still has big goals for 2020 but plans on next year being the biggest year of the 2016 United States Olympian's young career.

"For sure that is definitely the plan. Finish 2020 with a bang and go into 2021 even stronger than before. A lot of people say that but I think for sure 2021 will be my year. I am very confident of that," Conwell told BoxingScene.com.

With that being said, Conwell doesn't believe the fight versus Trussaint will be his last of the year.  If he comes out of the fight injury free he wants to fight once more before the calendar turns to next year.

"I definitely want to get one more fight sometime in December before going into 2021," he stated.
