BoxingScene.com recently spoke to former light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson (30-1) who faces Bernard Hopkins on April 28th on Atlantic City.  Dawson is focused on his rematch with Hopkins but admitted that he is interested in avenging his only career defeat which came against Jean Pascal in 2010.

"I do want the Pascal fight but I now am 30 years old and I have a growing family so its all about the money and what fights bring the most money," Dawson told BoxingScene.com.

The top heavy light heavyweight division offers some intriguing matchups that Dawson can look forward to provided he gets past Hopkins. The talent laden 168 pound weight class will further augment the division as fighters such as Andre Ward, Carl Froch, and Lucian Bute move up in weight.  IBF light heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud has been mentioned as a possible future opponent for Dawson but the Connecticut based fighter wasn't impressed
with Cloud's most recent outing.

"It is very clear that Cloud lost that fight (versus Gabriel Campillo). In my opinion he lost every round but the first round" stated Dawson. " I don't know how big of a fight it would be but there are other guys on my radar. Not looking past Bernard but Ward said he's looking for a big fight and a move up to 175.  I don't know how far up on my list he is but he's in the top 10."
