Former light heavyweight champion "Bad" Chad Dawson made an appearance on a recent edition of BoxingScene's official audio show, The Boxing Lab. The 29-year-old told us that he is anxious to get back in the ring with Bernard Hopkins  and hopes that Hopkins will fight in a fan friendly manner.

"If Bernard comes to fight and not slither around and buy time then it will be an exciting fight," stated Dawson. "I am going to put the pressure on him like we did in the first fight. People didn't give me credit for bringing the fight to him. Hopefully after this fight they will."

The Connecticut native told The Boxing Lab that he never looks for the knockout but that he has a feeling that he will get the opportunity to be the first man to stop Hopkins.

"Its not my style to look for a knockout but I think it will present itself. I think somewhere around the 5th or 6th round if things go as planned," Dawson revealed.

18 years of age separate Dawson and the WBC light heavyweight champion Hopkins. Dawson said that he will use his speed and athleticism to dictate the pace of the fight and said that his youth will also play a major role in the fight's outcome.

"He's a 47-year-old man. If you watch the Pascal fights he (Pascal) had him hurt a few times. He has 47-year-old legs. Its all about me using my youth, hand speed and power and that's what we are working on," Dawson concluded.
