Baja Boxing has announced the signing of undefeated Mexicali fighter Cesar "Saba" Vazquez (24-0, 15 KOs). Baja Boxing also promotes former champion Humberto Soto and prospect Antonio Lozada Jr. In one of his more notable wins, Vazquez, a rising super featherweight, stopped Antonio Meza in two rounds. Gary Russell Jr. stopped Meza is four rounds. Vazquez is hoping Baja Boxing gets him a title shot in 2012.
"We are very pleased with the signing of this great fighter. We are positive that we'll do many good things together. I know he's serious, responsible and very capable. That is why when they contacted me to talk about his undefeated fighter, I did not hesitate for a minute to propose a good agreement that was beneficial to both parties," said Antonio Lozada Sr., owner of Baja Boxing.
