Cesar "Junito" Seda is defending his 115-pound NABO title on February 18 in a function presented by Universal Promotions in Ponce, and in his next fight he will be looking for the WBO crown held by the Argentine Omar Narvaez or the WBA title held by Mexican Hugo Cázares.
"We're trying to fight for the WBO title that Narvaez is defending next week. I imagine that Gary Shaw and Javier Bustillo are negotiating with the people of Narvaez. We hope that he wins. But we do not rule out Cázares. And on February 18 Junito will defend his NABO title in Ponce, but the next fight will be for a world title," revealed his father and coach Cesar Seda Sr.
Seda will risk his perfect record of 20-0 with 15 knockouts on the February date. No opponent has been set.
His father also added that a move to bantamweight is an option for the future.
"And possibly in 2012, we'll be fighting at 118 pounds. We have no problems making the weight but want to keep moving up in weight. Junito has the physique and reach to be a featherweight champion," said Seda Sr.
