In a tactical chess match, light heavyweight prospect Cedric Agnew, 24-0 (13 KOs), kept his undefeated record in tact, defeating Zack Page, 21-40-2 (7 KOs), via six-round majority decision at the Houston Club. Both fighters periodically turned southpaw at various moments of the fight and each seemed tentative about trading punches with the other. Agnew wobbled Page in the final round with a right hook to the jaw from a southpaw stance but Page had the experience to ride out the follow-up onslaught and survive till the bell.

Slick featherweight and former amateur standout Kiun Evans, 4-0 (3 KOs), did an impressive impersonation of Floyd Mayweather Jr., dropping Henry Hernandez, 1-7 (1 KO), in the third round with a left hook-overhand right en route to a four-round shutout win. Welterweight Felipe Reyes made a successful pro debut by dropping Jose Brewer, 0-3, twice for a first-round TKO. Markhele Duncan debuted as a flyweight with a four-round decision over Marc Perales, 1-2 (1 KO). Welterweight Brian Jones began his pro career with a first-round TKO over fellow debutante Stephan Nava. A heavyweight bout between southpaw Thomas Hawkins, 1-0, and Ricardo Rodriguez (record unknown), ended in a bizarre double disqualification for excessive holding by both fighters.

The card was staged by Savarese Boxing Promotions.
