It was reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal that controversial doctor who tried to tamper with the scales during the Castillo-Corrales rematch has lost his license.
Dr. Armando Barak, the Castillo training camp physician, was accused of placing his foot under the scale as Jose Luis Castillo tried in vain to make weight for his rematch with Corrales. Barak's job was to make sure Castillo was able to make the weight. Castillo was unsuccessful in three attempts to make 135.
The Las Vegas commission voted to revoke Barak's license until Oct. 9 and ordered him to pay all the hearing costs. Barak has denied any wrongdoing.
