German TV commentator for boxing and football (soccer) Peter Heimer spent about five months in his youth in the French Foreign Legion, writes Bild Zeitung. Heimer then escaped but was a wanted man in France for years.

Slovakian Mr. Boxing, 47-year-old Laszlo Paszterko stopped Zsolt Nemeth in third round of a show earlier tonight (Nov 9) in Sturovo.
On November 13 Javier Castillejo and Mariano Carrera clash in a WBA middleweight eliminator. Carrera won the WBA title in what was one of the best fights of 2006, then tested positive for an illegal substance, was stripped of the title and then Felix Sturm beat Castillejo. The Spanish veteran is also mandatory challenger for the EBU title held by Sebastian Sylvester. In the chief support super middleweight Eduardo Gutknecht faces Frenchman Laurent Goury. Maurice Weber and Daniel Kaefer square off for the vacant German title at jr. middleweight.
