David Benavidez has no shortage of HUGE fights on his radar. In an exclusive interview with BoxingScene, Jose Benavidez Sr. makes it clear that David still wants the biggest names at 175lbs including Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev. Benavidez has previously said those are two fights he wants to make as he pursues more titles and major challenges. But there’s another name that could make things very interesting: Andy Ruiz Jr. Jose discusses the possibility of an all-Mexican showdown between Benavidez and the former heavyweight champion, along with David’s plans across multiple divisions. And with a potential Jai Opetaia showdown also building after the pair came face-to-face following Opetaia’s latest victory, Benavidez has some massive options ahead.

ProboxTV’s championship series is now on the ProBoxTV YouTube channel for $5/month.

Robinson Castellanos (17-9, 11KOs) is confident former champion Celestino Caballero (36-4, 23KOs) on April 20th at the Arena Robert Duran in Panama City. The WBC Silver featherweight title will be at stake. Castellanos knows the public has him as a heavy underdog because of Caballero's experience and because the fight is taking place in Panama.
“I feel people think I will be the victim against Caballero, but the victory will be very satisfactory for me. I am a specialist in being the “underdog”, and I will continue on the same path”, Robinson said.
“I am putting everything on the line; I will try to knock out Caballero so that I get a convincing victory. Going to his country to fight does not affect me, I feel good mentally and I am excited to face these kind of rivals. This is the last door I have to open before I fight for the WBC world title and challenge the winner of Ponce De Leon vs. Mares fight. I will give my best”.
With a thirteen-year professional career and two years without being defeated, Robinson knows that the key to winning is in the gym, which is the reason for why goes to the “Nuevo Jordan” Gym every day, where he is trained by experienced trainer Lorenzo Lopez.
“We have been training for a month and a half for the fight against “Pelenchin” Caballero. I am sparring Fermin “Sedas” De Los Santos, Nery “Pantera” Saguilan, Marco Periban and Manuel “Loquito” Valdes. We expect to reach 300 rounds of boxing before the fight," he informed.
“Caballero is a very strong boxer. I know he boxes well and his height (1.80 meters) is one of his most important qualities, but we will work with tall boxers to simulate his style and avoid any surprises."
“I have analyzed him a lot, but my style is to decipher his boxing. When he throws punches, I will punish him with legal punches to the lower part of his body to decrease his speed and punch him until I knock him out."
